Birmingham Zine Festival Postcard
I got this lovely little treat in the post yesterday.
I took part in the Birmingham Zine Festival’s postcard exhibition back in September. The postcards that were submitted were then sent back to a different exhibitor once the show was over. I’d completely forgotten about it as it’s been a while since the show was up so it was a nice surprise to receive this little artwork. It’s signed ‘Earpsie’ who I’m guessing is Craig Earp. You can check out his work here: www.graphic-design-birmingham-uk.co.uk

Traverse Me
I stumbled across this lovely little project called Traverse Me and commissioned by the Mead Gallery at Warwick Arts Centre a couple of months ago.
The artist used GPS tracking device to monitor and measure his movements enabling to map the environment (in this case Warwick University Campus) simply by walking around it and so walking quite literally becomes drawing.
I really like the way in which the artist has found a way to manipulate some of the new technology that’s available to us in order to find a new way to draw. The outcome was fairly simple really but there possibilities for what could be done with these sort of processes is endless.
The full details of the project can be found here on the GPS Drawing website.

Medium Without a Message
I received my copy of Mail Me Art: Medium Without a Message (ISBN: 978-0-9566320-0-5) this week which is the catalogue of a little project that I took part in earlier this year that culminated in an exhibition in Brixton, London, in July.
The book features work by artists and designers for all over the world who all contributed a piece of their work to this project. If you would like to get your hands on a copy of this book you should visit the Mail Me Art website here.

Doodlegasm
I had a long old day at work today; there were meeting galore. Fortunately meetings are good for doodling as you can see. I thought I’d post one on here because I quite liked them. As you can see I’m one of those ‘automatic drawing’ type doodlers rather than one of those illustrative types.
By all accounts I’ll be able to recall more of those meetings than my non-doodling colleagues too.
